JACQUIE HOLLICKY
MSW RSW

I have been described by my clients as being easy to talk to, kind, caring, open, honest and perceptive. I am passionate about the work I do and believe that it is important to create a safe and inviting environment to allow people to freely express themselves. Some of my strengths as a therapist stem from my ability to connect with others, coupled with my genuine desire to assist people in achieving a greater sense of well-being in their lives. I believe that fostering connections is a key component to the therapy process. My role is to collaborate with you, so that we can identify patterns, find solutions, focus on your strengths and move forward. Life can be more than just surviving; I want to help people
thrive.

I am an accomplished counselling professional with an extensive career spanning over 30 years. I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Saskatchewan, an under graduate degree in social work from the University of Regina, as well as a Master of Social work degree through the University of Calgary. The majority of my career has been within a health care setting working in several areas such as mental health, chronic illness and trauma.

I utilize a trauma informed, strengths-based approach with a special interest in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I have both training and experience in other approaches such as solution focused, client centered, grief therapy and narrative based practice. I tailor my work to fit the specific needs of the individual and the issues that they are experiencing. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, sexual abuse, domestic violence, post-traumatic stress disorder, chronic illness, care giver fatigue, grief, pregnancy loss, healthy communication, assertiveness training, boundaries and self-esteem.

I look forward to working with you!
